SPRINGFIELD MONTESSORI'S ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

At Springfield Montessori Walnut Creek, we believe in fostering a well-rounded educational experience for every child. Our co-curricular classes offered for no extra charge enrich our education with a variety of engaging activities and lessons, including:

  • Music: Ms. Zulay will teach the children fun songs and introduce instruments from various countries.
  • Gardening: Ms. Karen will guide children in planting seeds, watering and caring for plants, along with garden related art activities.
  • ASL: Ms. Melissa teaches American Sign Language. Children ease into sign language naturally. Sign language helps children to better understand spoken words and build vocabulary. It also gives them another means of communication and bolsters cognition.
  • Spanish: Expand your child's horizons with Ms Zulay in Spanish classes! This program introduces basic language skills in a clear and engaging way, allowing children to interact and participate in simple conversations.

EXPAND YOUR CHILD'S WORLD WITH EXTRACURRICULARS

This year, our Walnut Creek campus is excited to offer a variety of enriching extracurricular classes! These classes provide an opportunity for children to delve deeper into specific areas of interest and develop new skills. These classes are offered for a small fee paid directly to the instructors.

  • Yoga: Certified in Children's Yoga, Ms. Melissa leads these calming classes that promote physical strength, coordination, and a sense of well-being. Her basic Yoga class focuses on breathing exercises, poses and relaxation techniques, combined with games and stories.
  • Zumba: Certified instructor Ms. Katrina, leads these high-energy dance fitness classes that incorporate specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love. Zumba is a great way for children to get active, have fun, and build confidence.
