At Springfield Montessori Walnut Creek, we believe in fostering a well-rounded educational experience for every child. Our co-curricular classes offered for no extra charge enrich our education with a variety of engaging activities and lessons, including:
- Music: Music classes are taught by Music For Life Kids and their goal is to encourage the love of music and enhance it in a happy and patient but structured environment. They strive to create a musical community that is rich with cultural, social, and intellectual diversity.
- Gardening: Ms. Karen will guide children in planting seeds, watering and caring for plants, along with garden related art activities.
- ASL: Ms. Melissa teaches American Sign Language. Children ease into sign language naturally. Sign language helps children to better understand spoken words and build vocabulary. It also gives them another means of communication and bolsters cognition.
- Yoga: Led by Ms. Kavita Patel, a certified instructor with over ten years of experience at Monkey Bear Yoga. Ms. Patel's fun and engaging classes introduce children to the foundations of yoga in a playful way.
