Springfield Montessori's Toddler Program is designed for the holistic development of the child, a thoughtfully crafted environment welcomes the natural curiosity of children aged 2 to 3 years old.  We recognize these sensitive periods of development as crucial for learning, and our program fosters exploration and discovery within a safe and stimulating space.

A CLASSROOM DESIGNED FOR EXPLORATION:

Springfield Montessori classrooms are meticulously designed with age-appropriate furniture and materials. This careful curation empowers toddlers to explore independently, fostering a sense of confidence and independence from the very beginning.

FOCUS ON CORE DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS:

Our Toddler program centers around three key areas: Sensorial, Practical Life, and Language Development. Through engaging with specialized Montessori materials in these areas, children will:

  • Develop essential fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and a sense of order.
  • Refine visual discrimination and concentration.
  • Gain independence and build self-care skills.

BEYOND THE BASICS: SOCIAL SKILLS, GRACE AND COURTESY

The Montessori approach goes beyond simply teaching skills. Through practical life activities, your child will develop valuable social skills, learn to care for their environment, and cultivate grace and courtesy.

A LANGUAGE-RICH ENVIRONMENT:

Our toddler classroom is a vibrant space overflowing with language-learning opportunities. Our teachers utilize a variety of methods, including storytelling, object naming, descriptive language, music, and conversation, to encourage children to develop their communication skills.

We offer a variety of program options to suit your family's needs:

  • Morning Session: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
  • Full Day Session: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Extended Care: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm (available for all programs)

We also offer flexible scheduling with options for 5 days, 4 days, or 3 days per week.
